‘Nure face a promoted side for the second week in a row and it isn’t always the best way to start a season. They lost narrowly to a City of Derry side determined to make a mark last weekend.
This Saturday they host a Seapoint side fresh from a never give in victory over Bective.
‘Nure will need to show real mettle this weekend if they are to avoid another defeat to a club on the rise.
City of Derry stormed back into the old Division 3 two seasons ago and then took top spot last season. Can they continue their march in Division 2A?
Terenure College finished mid-table last season and this will be a stern opening test for the Dublin side’s ambitions.
The hosts have won three out of five in the Ulster Senior League and look set to begin their Ulster Bank League campaign with an encouraging home win.
As you may have seen last Sunday some parents took part in the first session of Fitsquad which we have organised to take place on Sunday mornings offering parents a chance to utilise their hour in club for their own well being.
30 odd people had indicated their desire to take part and I would urge you all to communicate this message to the various age groups to ensure participation.
If we don’t get the required numbers this may not continue.
This is an excellent way to keep fit and its tailored for all stages of fitness.

We would ask you to make the course known to any of your members who have shown an interest of becoming a referee. It is not a course for coaches.

Come and meet our talented players, coaches, Committee Members and of course our new Club Chairman Mr Pat Heslin. We will be delighted to welcome you into Terenure and answer any questions you may have regarding the club. The official launch party takes place after the 1XV game and prior to the start of the J1 game. There will be finger food, wine, cakes, live music and off course excellent rugby to view all afternoon. Please come down early and watch our 1st XV or Under 21’s in action prior to the party and off course everyone can support our super J1 side as they take on Lansdowne at 16:30 hrs.
