AIL Week 5 (5th Nov ’11) – Queen’s vs. TCRFC

Queen’s University (3rd) v Terenure College (9th), Dub Lane

Queen’s University slipped to third in the standings when losing their 100% record to Bective Rangers, but this game offers them an ideal opportunity to swiftly get back on track.

Visitors Terenure College have won their two home matches so far and lost to City of Derry and Dublin University on the road.

Ian Morgan’s ‘Nure side completed a superb 13-point comeback against Malone last time out, with out-half Conor Gildea landing a late drop goal. However, home advantage should steer Queen’s on their way here.

AGM – Friday 18th November

The reconvened AGM is to be held on on Friday 18th November at 8.30pm in the clubhouse. The purpose of the AGM is to consider the adoption of the audited accounts as presented at the AGM.
Please note that only fully paid members may attend.

NureNet Up And Running

The first NureNet event of the current season was a great success on Monday night. Joe Schmidt had the crowd enthralled for the evening, as he spoke about how networking benefits him in his career, how he prepares for matches and of course, what was said at half time in Cardiff! There was a great attendance of almost 80 people, with presentations also from Alan Morgan from the PPU and Paul Joyce from the club.
The database is now up and running on the PPU website, http://www.nure.ie, and is fully searchable by name, category and location. Our next event will take place in mid-November, and will focus on social media and marketing for small to medium enterprises. A second new recruit’s course will be held as follows

NUI Barnhall

Sunday 25th September 2011

KO 10.00am

Full Time 3.30pm approx

Light Lunch will be provided

No gear needed course is primarily indoor

Only Pen and paper required

We would ask you to make the course known to any of your members who have shown an interest of becoming a referee. It is not a course for coaches.
Coaching courses are held separately

World Cup Breakfast

Ireland vs. Australia Sept. 17th KO 9.30am

Please join us to watch Ireland take on Australia in a vital pool match. There is also breakfast available.

Tickets for the breakfast are 10euro and must be bought prior to the event.

Parents’ Day

We cordially invite all parents, family, wives, girlfriends and friends of all players to attend our season launch party at 15:30 hrs on Saturday 10th September next. Come and meet our talented players, coaches, Committee Members and of course our new Club Chairman Mr Pat Heslin. We will be delighted to welcome you into Terenure and answer any questions you may have regarding the club. The official launch party takes place after the 1XV game and prior to the start of the J1 game. There will be finger food, wine, cakes, live music and off course excellent rugby to view all afternoon. Please come down early and watch our 1st XV or Under 21’s in action prior to the party and off course everyone can support our super J1 side as they take on Lansdowne at 16:30 hrs.
