It’s a busy weekend for the club, with four sides involved in games which can all be described as mahoosive. The 1sts take the long road to Cork, knowing that the winner of this game will be favourite to gain a home semi final. Nure took the spoils in the reverse encounter early in the year in a ridiculously entertaining and high scoring affair, but will know that Temple Hill has not been the happiest of hunting grounds for us.
Knowing that we will need all the support we can get, there is a Supporters’ Bus booked (with toilet), which departs from TCRFC at 11:15am. Adults €20, Kids €10, OAPs €15. Text Paul ‘Chips’ Melia to book on 087 2695007, but do so quickly – places are limited!
The 4ths have a relegation playoff against Terenure rivals CYM on Sunday, with the winner earning the rights to stay in Division 5 for another season. Meanwhile, the 5ths have a huge cup game, with ramifications beyond the competition itself. They play Malahide in the Guilfoyle-James Cup, with the same two sides meeting in the league final a week later! KO on Saturday in Lakelands is 3pm, so please come down and cheer them on.
Last, but certainly not least, is a belter of a 20’s tie. The Baby Budgies make the short trip to Templeville for a derby game against Mary’s in the McCorry Cup on Sunday, with all that that entails. What a weekend of rugby! It’s the business end of the season now, and all the teams need and deserve your support. Get out and cheer them on!
