Depart Terenure College RFC 11:45 hrs sharp direct to Donnybrook to see Terenure College in action in this year’s Leinster Schools Senior Cup semi-final game against Clongowes Wood College. Match kicks-off at 12:30 hrs.
Bus departs Donnybrook after the game at 14:00 hrs directly back to the club to see France take on Ireland in the RBS 6 Nations. Kick-off 15:00 hrs. Bus costs €6 return.
Our own Joe from (Joe’s Pizza “A Slice of Heaven”) will also be running be running a special promotion for the adults. Pizza and a pint €10 and for the younger members 1 pizza and 2 soft drinks €10

The Annual club dinner takes place on Friday 27th January at 19:30. Tickets cost €45 per person. I visited the 1st and U 21 s dressing rooms last Thursday. There was a lot of interest expressed.
We have therefore decided to deliver the first evening CV design and Assertive Communication
on Monday 05th, Tuesday 06th, Wednesday 07th and Thursday 08th of December
And the Follow on Session Interview Skills
On Monday 12th, Tuesday 13th, Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th of December.
Participants choose from one evening in the first week and one in the second week.
This response is designed for maximum flexibility. Training will start at 6.30 pm and conclude at 9.30 pm each evening.
The scheme we are providing this training under is the Training Networks Programme with assistance from ISME
Elligibility Crieteria
Individuals registered with the Department of Social Protection and in receipt of Job-seekers Allowance (JA) or Job-seekers Benefit (JB).
Individuals in receipt of the following payments are eligible for the training:

§ Lone Parents Allowance
§ Farm Assist
§ Back-to-Work Allowance (Scheme closed to new applicants – May 2009)

§ Recent graduates who are unemployed
§ Individuals who don’t qualify for social welfare payment because of their spouse’s income
§ Individuals, including former semi-state employees, signing on for credits but in receipt of no social welfare payment
§ Individuals who have accepted redundancy payments
Important!
1) While this is an initiative aimed at the unemployed we will allow access to full time students.
2) We are primarily concerned with assisting members of the Rugby Club – However if you have friends or family
(which of course includes wives, girlfriends, sisters etc) who are unemployed we would be happy to try and include them.
We need a minimum group size of 12 on average but we can accommodate 6 on one night and 18 on another.
Training will go ahead on the basis that we have sufficient numbers so please confirm your interest by return indicating
your preferred nights in week One and Two and your current status.

There is another initiative planned for after Xmas – A Fetac level 4 Qualification in Guarding Skills(Security Work)
which is supported by the Security Institute of Ireland which will allow the possessor to secure fulltime or part-time
work as a “Bouncer”.
Priority will be given to those who have previously completed the CV and Interview Skills Module.
Now in it’s third year, The Brawl for Nepal is a charity boxing event taking place tommorrow night from 7-11pm in Terenure College Gymnasium in aid of the Umbrella Foundation.
The Umbrella Foundation was setup in 2005. Its main aim is to rescue destitute children and give them access to education. Ten years of civil war in Nepal has displaced tens of thousands of children. With countless children orphaned and even more trafficked and/or abandoned.
The Umbrella foundation have carried out some tremendous work and have given countless children a new lease on life and for the first time, a dream of a better future for themselves and their country.
The Rugby Club will be hosting the After Party for the Brawl with late night bar and live D.J. All those going to the Brawl and even if you aren’t be sure to pop in for what promises to be a great night for a great cause.
