It’s a massive weekend of rugby, with the Six Nations in its penultimate week, the Metro leagues reaching their end and the relegation battle in the AIL hitting fever pitch.
The Wales Ireland match, Ireland’s first 6N Friday night match, will be on the big screens in the Club, with a great atmosphere guaranteed for a match that never disappoints. All are welcome, so come down and join us!
Then, on Saturday, it’s a huge day for the 1st and 6th XVs. The 1sts face fellow relegation battlers Old Belvedere in Lakelands, with both sides knowing that a loss will make things extremely difficult for the beaten side in their efforts to avoid the drop. That’s about it folks – there is little else to say except get down, get your Terenure colours on, and roar your bloody lungs out. The lads have shown since Christmas what a good side they are, and as they commit everything they have on the pitch, it’s up to us to do the same on the sideline.
Up on the top pitch, the 6th XV go into a top of the table clash with Clondalkin, knowing that the winner will secure home advantage for the Division 10 playoff final. Two huge games – so come down and cheer the lads on!
We have three excellent games to finish off the weekend, with the 2nds also looking to gain home advantage for the playoff final, as they face Old Wesley in Lakelands, chasing leaders UCD on the last day of the regular season. The 3rds are away to Wanderers in Division 5, while the 20s have a tasty clash in prospect as they welcome Rock to Lakelands.
