The 2nds had a fantastic win on Saturday morning, beating Old Belvedere 27-5, thanks to tries from Conor Moffat, Shane Donovan and John Dever. Niall Thornton supplied the kicks in a superb result which continues their great run of late. The win lifts them out of the relegation places with one game remaining. That one game is away to St Mary’s, and with 7th placed Trinity facing bottom side Greystones, we’re going to need at least a draw to avoid the playoffs.

The 3rds also faced Belvo, going down 11-10 in Anglesea Road on Friday night. In a tightly contested league, the lads are now out of the running for promotion, but will be looking for a strong finish to the season ahead of the cup campaign.
The 5ths had their first win of the season, beating Greystones 23-7 in Lakelands. It’s just reward for a side that has been working hard all year, and has fallen agonisingly short on occasions. The result also means that these two sides will face each other in the relegation playoff, with our lads having two games in hand which could give them home advantage.
The 6ths confirmed their place in the the promotion playoff with a win over Bective, 10-7. Second place Railway Union will need to slip up in their last couple of games to ensure we have home advantage, as they have two games in hand.
