The 1st XV picked up a stunning bonus point win in Dooradoyle on Sunday, beating Garryowen 29-13 to go two points clear of Cork Con in second place. Tries from James O’Donoghue, Jake Swaine, Robbie Carroll and Marc Hiney leave the club in prime position for a home semi final, with only three games left this season. An honourable mention must go to prop Cian Madden, who turned down a chance to represent the Irish University team against Scotland to play in Limerick, and turned in a stellar performance to help Nure to the win.

The 2nds also secured a winning bonus point, putting four tries past DUFC in Lakelands on Monday night to win 26-16. The result leaves them a solitary point behind leaders Lansdowne in the race for home advantage in the Metro Division 1 final, with only one game left. The 3rds continued their mission to win all of their games as dramatically as possible, beating Seapoint 31-29, while the 4ths were agonisingly beaten by CYM. UCD proved to be too strong for the U20s on Sunday.
