Terenure v WEZZ

This Weekend’s Fixtures

This weekend sees a Dublin derby in the AIL, with Old Wesley the visitors to Lakelands on Saturday. A big crowd is expected for what is sure to be a close match between two sides that are never separated by much. The 1st XV are looking to bounce back from last week’s loss away to Corinthians as the race for promotion takes a step up. Corinthians (1st place) are away to Bective, with UCC (3rd) away to DLSP with Banbridge (4th) at home to Midleton. The league is so tight at the top that the results of any one weekend could have huge implications for the standings at the end of the season. Kick off is at 2.30pm.

The table as it stands:
Corinthians            39 points
Terenure College    38 points
UCC                      38 points (played one game extra)
Banbridge              31 points

On Friday night, our J2’s travel to Anglesea Road to take on Belvedere at 7.30pm. With only three games left to play, Nure are 3 points ahead of Wesley at the top of the league, and a win on Friday would mean a huge jump towards league success. In the only other fixture this weekend, our J4A’s face St Mary’s at home on Saturday. This is another hugely important match, as our lads lie only two points off the top of the table, with Mary’s not far behind in third place. Kick off is at 1pm.

This is also a Six Nations weekend, with Italy welcoming Wales at 2.30pm on Saturday, England hosting France at 5pm and on Sunday, Ireland travel to Murrayfield (ko 2pm). All of the club matches this week are massively important, and your support makes a huge difference, so make sure to take advantage of the good weather and show your support for the lads!
